Why Your TikTok Videos Get Zero Views (and How to Fix Each One)
Every real reason a TikTok gets zero views, from videos under review and fresh account limits to banned keywords, duplicate content, shadowbans and spam, with the fix for each.
If a TikTok gets zero views, there is almost always a specific reason. This guide goes from the simple causes that barely affect your account to the more serious ones, with the fix for each. Skip the myths (posting from the camera roll is not one of them) and check these in order.
What you will check
1. The video is under review
TikTok sometimes holds a video for review before showing it. Nobody knows exactly why.
Fix: wait. Do not panic or delete it. It is usually approved and starts picking up views.
2. Fresh account
If you create an account and post immediately, without scrolling or interacting, posting can be restricted. This keeps spam away.
Check that the first post was not set to private.
Fix: warm up the account (see below) and you will be fine.
3. Banned and spam keywords
TikTok is strict with words: swear words, drugs, adult words, smoking, "dead" and similar. People write around them, for example "alive" instead of "dead", or deliberate misspellings in text.
Fix: if you suspect a word, change it in the caption, text on screen and speech.
4. Community guidelines and copyright
Politically or otherwise sensitive topics (drugs, alcohol, sex, smoking) can get you penalized, especially on an account that is not established.
Copyrighted sounds can get a video flagged. It will not ban your account, but it will not get views.
Fix: use sounds available inside TikTok.
5. Duplicate content
Posting the same video on several accounts (two, three, five) gets noticed and your reach is restricted.
Reposting your own best video on the same account is fine, especially on an established account.
Using the same footage across many accounts works if you re-edit it differently. It just must not be identical, and you must not spam.
6. Low quality or unoriginal content
"Low quality" does not mean resolution. It means boring or unoriginal content: reposts, clips of celebrities, a stock parkour video.
TikTok has no reason to push the same video a thousand other people posted.
Editing a video does not make it original.
7. Shadowban
It happens when you break the rules above or further rules. A shadowban is hidden: your account can show as healthy and still get no reach.
TikTok has an Account check that shows your account status. It is a good first test, but it does not catch everything.
Fix: there is no real recovery. Clear the cache, delete the account and start again with a proper warm-up.
8. Spam activity
A fresh account posting several times a day looks like spam. TikTok does not know you yet.
Posting many times a day is for established accounts with a reputation.
Fix: create the account, warm it up, post once, wait a day, post again, then post daily. Only if videos do well, post more than once a day.
9. VPNs and automated posting
VPNs: do not use them. TikTok sees you trying to change your location. Premium VPNs usually do not help either.
Good proxies and anti-detect browsers can work if they are set up properly.
Automated posting: scheduling tools work for established accounts. If you create 10 fresh accounts, bulk upload and schedule, you will get zero views because the accounts have no reputation.
10. How to avoid all of it
Warm up the account. Scroll, look at videos and interact with a few pieces of content so you look like a real person. Warm-up matters most when you run many accounts: for a mass of accounts warm up for one to two weeks, for one to three accounts one to three days is enough.
Verify the account. Confirm the verification email with your code, and add the security checks TikTok prompts for. This is common knowledge and experience, not a guarantee.
Post slowly at first. One post, wait a day, skip a day, then post daily. Post more only when videos pick up.
